My mother has been a resident in Craigdun Nursing Home since the beginning of April this year, and we have found all the staff to be extremely helpful and accommodating. My sister and I visit every day and are always made to feel very welcome, as are all of my mother’s visitors.
She is very well looked after, and the carers treat her with dignity, kindness, and the same level of care we would give her ourselves. Her room is always kept spotless, and if we ever have any concerns, the nursing staff are always available to talk things through and offer support.
I can thoroughly recommend Craigdun as a very caring and supportive place to stay.”

Mum was a resident in Craigdun for a period of time, and during her stay we got to know the staff well. We were always treated courteously and included as partners in Mum’s care. Instead of finding her unhappy, as had been the case in a previous placement, we found her enjoying friendly banter with staff—especially one team member who took great pride in making sure she was dressed in beautifully coordinated outfits.
Mum quickly took to the cook’s famous shortbread and home-baked food, which she thoroughly enjoyed. It was also lovely that pet visits were encouraged; my sister’s dogs were always made welcome, which meant a great deal to Mum.
The activity therapist was a real asset, putting great enthusiasm into organising events—Mum especially loved the Valentine’s party.
Mum’s care was exceptional. Craigdun is a well-run, happy home, shown by the contentment of its residents and the consistently pleasant, supportive staff. Compassionate and professional care, strong leadership, and excellent teamwork are all clearly evident at Craigdun.”
